Instituted in 1924, McDonell and Miller is the foremost player in building, engineering, fashioning of an all-inclusive range of gizmos i.e. liquid level controls, boiler controls, and flow switches for hot water boilers and steam boilers. Mcdonell and Miller was taken by ITT Industries, Inc. 47 years later in 1971. Currently Mcdonell and Miller is division of a sector that includes Bell & Gossett, Domestic Pump and Hoffman Specialty, The organization invariably persists to develop its procession of gizmos by engineering new range of hi-tech products thereby adding multiple amenities to the common household amenities like boiler controls, liquid level controls and flow switches for housing, business, commercial, and industrial tasks. The facility received ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification as the result of its dedication to designing, producing and marketing the very highest quality products.
Mcdonell and Millers manufactures primarily two kinds of Water Feeders:
Electric Water Feeder, and Mechanical Water Feeder (which is
further divided into four different categories as per the amenities and targeted
class)
Electric Water Feeder eliminates the need to manually put water into the
boiler. It is designed for low pressure steam boilers with cold water feed and
comes with swiftly replaceable cartridge valve and strainer. It is endowed with
a manual nosh knob, has a water pressure of 150 psi (min.), and a maximum boiler
pressure of 25 psi (max). The maximum withstand able temperature is 120 degree
F.
Mechanical Water Feeder- Series 47 is fashioned for steam and hot water
boiler with cold water feed. This kind of water feeder requires regular and
persistent maintenance of the minimum safe water level. Mechanical Water feeder
series 47 has quick hook-up fixtures attached to it and has been endowed with
rapidly replaceable cartridge valve and strainer.
Mechanical Water Feeder- Series 51 has been engineered for low pressure
steam and hot water boilers bigger than 5,000 Sq. Ft. power with cold water
feed. It has fast amend replaceable cartridge valve and strainer facility, and
has got proportional feed procedure. Highest water supply pressure is 150 psi.
and the max is 35 psi.
Mechanical Water Feeder- Series 51-S has been designed for big capacity
(up to 35,000 sq. ft.) low pressure steam and hot water boilers with cold water
feed. Voluntarily electable features comprise- No. 2 switch, blue-collar
retuning, float block, and proportional feed action. The water supply limit is
100 psi.(max), and the maximum pressure is 35 psi.
Mechanical Water Feeder- Series 53 is intended for small pressure steam
and hot water boilers bigger than 5,000 sq. ft. with hot or cold water feed. The
optional features comprise- No. 2 switch, blue-collar retuning, float block, and
proportional feed action. Utmost water supply pressure is 150 psi. and the
highest pressure is 75 psi.
Low water Cut-offs
Mcdonell and Miller makes 17 different kinds of Low water Cutt-offs:
Low water Cutt-offs
Series 63 is intended for housing, business, and industrial tasks, is a heavy
Duty appliance, includes No. 2 switch, has a voluntary physical retuner
obtainable. The highest boiler pressure 50 is psi.
Low water Cutt-offs Series 64 is intended for housing, business, and
industrial tasks, is a heavy Duty appliance, has an modifiable BX opening for
trouble-free fixing, is a dual precision switches for reliable function of the
low water cut-off and alarm or electric water feeder, has pack less bellows,
voluntarily manual reset, 1" NPT equalizing pipes is mandatory. The optimum
boiler pressure is 50 psi.
Low water Cutt-offs Series 764 has got dual precision switches for
dependable operation of the low water cut-off and alarm or electric water
feeder. The features include 2 1/2" NPT side tapping provided for installation
with close nipple. It has a maximum boiler pressure of 50 psi.
Low water Cutt-offs Series 61 has 1" NPT equalizing pipes and blow down
valve required and the maximum steam pressure 20 psi.
Low water Cutt-offs Series 67 has lever-operated, full port ball valve
for easy blow down. Optional features - low voltage switches for self generating
millivolt circuits & manual reset switch. The optimum steam pressure is 20 psi.
Low water Cutt-offs Series 69 is for boilers of any steam potential,
optional low voltage switches for self-generating mill volt circuits, highest
steam pressure 20 psi.
Low water Cutt-offs Series 150E & 157E has motorized valve controller,
low water cut-off, higher water cut-off, and alarm actuator for boilers, vessels
and tanks. This prevents rapid burner and pump cycling and has trouble-free
monitoring of operation, and uncomplicated troubleshooting; greatest operating
pressure is 150 psi
Low water Cutt-offs Series 150 is for residential, commercial, and
industrial applications. This product is made for boilers of any steam power.
Monel bellows provides corrosion resistance. Mercury switches for high
temperature service. Lowest pressure is 150 psi.
Low water Cutt-offs Series 157 for residential, commercial, and
industrial applications, it is designed for boilers of any steam capacity. Monel
bellows provides corrosion resistance, endowed with float chamber with integral
water column provided. Mercury control knobs for high temperature service are
also provided, the highest possible pressure is 150 psi.
Low water Cutt-offs Series 157S is for residential, commercial, and
industrial applications. For boilers of any steam capacity, has Monel bellows
provides corrosion resistance. Float chamber with integral water column has been
endowed. Snap action switches for high temperature service. The highest
permissible pressure is 150 psi.
Low water Cutt-offs Series 764 is for housing, business, and industrial
tasks; for boilers of any steaming capacity, is Heavy duty, has an adjustable BX
outlet for easy installation.
Low water Cutt-offs Series 767 is again is designed for boilers of any
steaming capacity. It is endowed with2 1/2" NPT body tapping for side mounting
on boilers, has lever operated, full port ball valve for easy blow down.
Adjustable BX outlet
Low water Cutt-offs Series 42 has Monel bellows providing corrosion
resistance, single pole, single throw mercury switches. Optimum permissible
pressure is 50 psi.
Low water Cutt-offs Series 93 preserves steady water level despite
pressure. No. 5 switch. Magnetic repulsion removes want for bellows, has 1" NPT
connections and the maximum pressure 150 psi.
Low water Cutt-offs Series 94 preserves steady water level despite
pressure. Magnetic repulsion eliminates need for bellows. Other features are 1
1/4" NPT connections, and pressure 250 psi(max).
Low water Cutt-offs Series 193 preserves steady water level despite
pressure, an unique water column with integral tappings for gauge glass and
tri-cock installations is bestowed along with No. 5 switch. Magnetic repulsion
removes the want of bellows, has 1" NPT connections. The highest pressure limit
is 150 psi.
Low water Cutt-offs Series 194 has 1 1/4" NPT connections, and the
maximum possible pressure limit is 250 psi.
